Portfolio Manager and Business Development

Julian Winkel is a Portfolio Management professional with over 10 years of experience in financial services, specializing in Debt, Real Estate, Private Equity, and Venture Capital.

He joined Royalton Partners in November 2021, where he is part of the Portfolio Management team.

Before joining Royalton Partners, Julian worked as a Scientific Researcher at Humboldt‑Universität zu Berlin within the DFG‑funded IRTG 1792 program, contributing to research in high‑dimensional time series analysis, the development of the CRIX Cryptocurrency Index, and the Blockchain Research Center.

Julian was a Data Scientist at Growney, focusing on ETF portfolio optimisation, back‑testing, and data‑driven investment models.

Julian is currently holding a PhD in Statistics at Humboldt‑Universität zu Berlin and holds an MSc in Statistics and a BSc in Economics, with additional academic experience at Peking University.
