The Team

The core management team of Royalton Partners comprises experienced professionals who have worked together for more than 19 years, and who are either natives of, or have lived and worked in, Central Europe since 1990.

Nigel P. Williams - Managing Partner

Mr. Williams co-founded the firm in 1996. Between 1997 and 2004, he was also a Director and Chief Executive Officer of European Direct Capital Management ("EDCM"), a joint venture between State Street global Advisors and Royalton Partners, which served until 2004 as the investment advisor to RCI. Prior to forming Royalton Partners, Mr. Williams spent five years as Chief Executive Officer and was a founding shareholder of the Creditanstalt Investment Company a.s. ("CIC"), the fund management arm of the Creditanstalt Group in the Czech Republic. CIC was responsible for the management of the Czech Investment Fund. From October 1990 to August 1991, Mr. Williams served as an adviser to the Board of Ceskoslovenska Obchodni Banka, a.s., a major Czech bank ("CSOB"). Prior to that, Mr. Williams spent six years as Managing Director and was a founding shareholder of Williams, Cook, Lott and Kissack Ltd., a London gilt-edged broker. From 1978 to 1984, he was an associate partner with broking firm Grieveson Grant in London.

Mr. Williams serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of mPunkt Polska SA in Poland. He is also Chairman of the Board of the insurance company CertAsig in Romania and ACTIV Parking Holdings. He used to serve as Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of Starman AS in Estonia, and Allami Nyomda Rt., Lang Kiado & Holding Rt. and Elsġ Lakáshitel (Ella Bank) in Hungary. He is also a member of the boards of directors of Investec Global Strategy Fund, an open-ended mutual fund quoted on the Dublin stock exchange, and The Lester Brewster Memorial Foundation. Mr. Williams holds a B.Sc. in Monetary Economics from the London School of Economics.

Ivan Vohlmuth - Founding Partner

Mr. Vohlmuth co-founded the firm in 1996. Between 1997 and 2004, he was also a Director of EDCM. Prior to forming Royalton Partners, Mr. Vohlmuth spent five years as a Director and was a founding shareholder of CIC. Previously, he worked in the foreign exchange and capital markets divisions of CSOB.

Mr. Vohlmuth serves as Chairman of Vratislavia Holdings in Poland and as a member of the Supervisory Board of mPunkt Polska in Poland. He is also a member of the Board of the insurance company CertAsig in Romania and ACTIV Parking Holdings. He used to serve as a member of the boards of Lang Kiado & Holding Rt., Elsġ Lakáshitel (Ella Bank) in Hungary and a member of the Supervisory Board of Starman AS in Estonia. While a Director of CIC, Mr. Vohlmuth served as a member of the boards of directors of nine portfolio companies of the Czech Investment Fund. He holds a degree in Technical Cybernetics from the University of Pilsen. From 1995 to 1996, Mr. Vohlmuth served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Investment Companies in the Czech Republic.


Przemyslaw Bielicki - Partner

Mr. Bielicki joined Royalton Partners in 1997. Between 1997 and 2004, he was also a principal of EDCM. Prior to joining Royalton Partners, Mr. Bielicki was Chairman of W. Frackowiak & Partners, a corporate finance consulting company based in Poznan Poland, for three years. In this capacity, he advised the Polish government on several privatization transactions. From 1995 to 1997, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of PPRD S.A., a highway construction company, based in Poznan. From 1992 to 1993, Mr. Bielicki was a member of the Supervisory Board of Remur S.A., a construction company in Wierzbica, Poland. From 1991 to 1992, he was the manager of the Trade and Information Office set up by the province of Poznan in cooperation with the Dutch province of North Brabant. Mr. Bielicki was a Member of the City Council of Poznan from 1990 to 1994.

Mr. Bielicki serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of mPunkt Polska and of the board of Vratislavia Holdings in Poland and is Chairman of the Board of Cinema Tower, a subsidiary of Vratislavia Holdings in Poland. He holds an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering.


Marcin Benbenek - Partner

Marcin Benbenek Mr. Benbenek will join Royalton Partners on a full time basis in 2010. He has worked in several executive positions at mPunkt Polska, a RCI portfolio company since 2002. He is one of the two key executives of the firm and most recently served as a member of the Management Board and as Director of the Sales and Marketing Division. Between 1999 and 2002, Mr. Benbenek worked at Ma³opolska Gie³da Rolno-Towarowa, Rzeszów, a wholesale agricultural products trading company, where he served as sales and marketing director. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Benbenek worked for KLM Cargo in Chicago and Warsaw. Between 1999 and 2002, he served as a member and/or deputy chairman of the supervisory boards of three Polish industrial companies. In 2008, Mr.Benbenek was appointed as a Supervisory Board member of Port Lotniczy Rzeszów "Jasionka", a Polish regional airport.

Mr. Benbenek serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Vratislavia Holdings in Poland and ACTIV Parking Holdings.

Mr. Benbenek holds a Master of Law degree from Maria Curie-Sk³odowska University in Lublin and an M.B.A. from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston, Lublin Business School. He also studied business administration at National-Louis University in Chicago.


Gabriella Huber - CFO of Royalton Partners

Gabriella Huber Ms. Huber joined Royalton Partners in 2004. Prior to joining Royalton, she was the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy General Manager of Perfekt, a consulting, training and publishing company in Budapest, for four years. At the time, Perfekt was a subsidiary of Lang Kiado & Holding Rt., a portfolio company of RCI. Between 1998 and 2000, she was Chief Financial Officer of Tisza Rubber and Sole Co. Ltd. in Martfû, Hungary. From 1997 to 1998, Ms. Huber was a financial and management consultant for Altus Consulting Financial and Investment Co. Ltd. in Budapest. In 1996, she worked as a Group Controller for Electrolux Lehel Hûtġgépgyár Co. Ltd. in Jaszbereny, Hungary.

Ms. Huber used to serve as a member of the Supervisory Board of Lang Asset Management in Hungary. Ms. Huber holds a degree in Economics with a specialty in Accounting from the College of Finance and Accounting in Budapest and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Miskolc.


Tomas Marsalek - Investment Analyst

Tomas Marsalek Mr. Marsalek joined Royalton Partners in 2008. Prior to joining Royalton, he worked as senior consultant in the Corporate Finance Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers Prague for four years.

Mr. Marsalek holds a degree in Finance and Environmental Economy from the University of Economics in Prague. He is also a member of the association for the Chartered Certified Accountants.

Andrew Sandor - Director of Royalton Partners

Andrew Sandor Mr. Sandor joined Royalton Partners Limited in 2008, where he continues to serve as dedicated outside counsel. Prior to joining Royalton, he was a senior associate with Squire, Sanders & Dempsey in Bratislava, in the Slovak Republic, for five years. He has worked on a number of private equity and M&A transactions in the region, representing private equity firms, investment banks and industrial clients in various sectors. Between 2000 and 2002, he was an associate with Coudert Brothers, a New York-based law firm. Between 1996 and 2000 he worked as a marketing manager with Watson Wyatt Worldwide. From 1990 to 1996, Mr. Sandor worked in Budapest, at a public relations agency and at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr.Sandor serves as a member of the boards of Vratislavia Holdings in Poland, the insurance company CertAsig in Romania and the parking group, City Parking with operations in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He used to serve as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lang Asset Management in Hungary. He holds a B.A. in History, with a concentration in Russian and East European Studies from Yale University, an M.A. in International Economics and Russian Area and East European Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Sandor is a member of the American Bar Association and is a non-practising English solicitor. In addition, Mr. Sandor serves on the Board of the International School of Prague. He speaks fluent Hungarian.


Roman Babka - Principal

Mr. Babka co-founded the firm in 1996. Between 1997 and 2004, he was also a Director of EDCM. Prior to forming Royalton Partners, Mr. Babka spent three years as a Director and was a founding shareholder of CIC. Previously, Mr. Babka was a Director and later Chairman of Creditanstalt Securities, a.s, a brokerage arm of the Creditanstalt Group. From 1990 to 1991, Mr. Babka worked in the foreign exchange and capital markets divisions of CSOB.

Mr. Babka serves a an executive director od ACTIV Parking in the Czech republic and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of COOL AR in Poland.. He used to serve as a vice-chairman of ACTIV Parking Holdings , as member of the Supervisory Board of Starman AS in Estonia, mPunkt Polska SA in Poland , as a member of the boards of MPunkt Holdings in Poland, Vratislavia Holdings in Poland and the insurance company CertAsig in Romania. While a Director of CIC, Mr. Babka served as a member of the boards of directors of six portfolio companies of the Czech Investment Fund. He holds a degree in Business from the Prague School of Economics.
